Reader official advertised price A$65. Verify GST and total at the official checkout; accessories or paid plans are separate.

1.6% for newer sellers; some older Reader accounts may be 1.9%. International cards add 1.5%. The tax basis is not confirmed here.

Square POS supports up to 24 hours of offline collection with this Reader. Upload within 24 hours where possible, and no later than 72. Declined or expired payments are the merchant’s risk; SMOAI device and recovery testing are still required.

Understand the fees before choosing

Published standard provider rates, not a common-tax total or a cheapest-option claim. The iPhone example assumes one authorisation. Actual fees, GST, additional authorisations, exchange, refunds, disputes, software and equipment depend on the provider contract and invoice; SMOAI charges are separate.

Square online's published 2.2% is comparison context only. SMOAI online checkout currently uses Stripe.
